Roaming around Hongkong & Macau

A different country, different food, different people and money.

A stroll to the clean and organized streets of Hongkong was very refreshing. Me and my family saw a different side of Asia. In Hongkong, it is very surprising that people are widely awake until 3 in the morning. The streets of Hongkong at night is full of dashing, colorful, bright lights. Oh my gosh! was the only words that came out of my mouth when I first stepped out of the airport into the busy streets of Hongkong. I was so shocked of the cleanliness of the said country. We roamed around Ocean Park on our first stay. We saw Pandas and Racoons. We discovered the beauty of Hongkong. We saw different kinds of fishes and we stayed a while for some amazing treat from the Dolphins. We all saw how the Dolphins twirled and spinned on air. We loved our first day. It was very entertaining. Second day was a trip to Asia's Las Vegas- Macau! We went to the big and fabulous Venetian Hotel. We roamed around the Grand Canal, also a place where the famous Boys Over Flowers taped an episode. We watched an amusing magic trick and saw people riding the boat to see and be be toured around the place. We visited last the popular Disneyland. We were welcomed by Mickey and Minnie Mouse. We roamed the whole place and saw how wide and clean the place is. I saw Princess Cinderella, Princess Aurora and Princess Belle and to finish off the vacation we watched a show from the Disney characters present that day. Whew! Vacation day might be over but this memory will with me forever and I will continue to cherish it. ♥

This Days.

What is with Teenagers these days that cannot be found in the Past?
What things make us different from the people from the past?

The transition of things from the past into more High-Tech makes teens this days very different from the people that lived in the past. The big change of "beepers" into "cellular phones"; "Polaroid cameras" turning to "digital cameras"; even books to "computers with internet access". Yes, this generation is very lucky for you could get quick informations as fast as a second. How lucky are we to experience the new things and not stuck with the past equipments? People from the past find these things as a big HELP and they all think we are lucky with what we have now. Easy transportation by private cars, buses, trains and etc. Yeah, maybe it is a blessing for our generation. Sometimes I kind of think twice about technology being a great blessing without any negativity. Isn't technology responsible for the Global Warming and air pollution? If technology didn't bring us public land transportation vehicles then global warming and air pollution would have not occurred to our planet. I sometimes think of technology as distraction instead of inspiration. Teens this days tend to use internet as entertainment instead of help for education. Cellphones, teens this days text more than to open their notebooks to review. I will not say or state that technology didn't bring any good to us because I know there is a positive side for all this that technology also brought us and I admit that I use the gift of technology too. My opinion is, we should all use technology responsibly and we should do what is important the most. :) So let us all be thankful and be responsible as we use technology.

sophomore :)

Could we pretend time could slow down 'till it reaches to a full stop? Could we pretend we live in a dream where we can control everything, including time?

First day of classes, as a second year in Assumption-Iloilo. Could you believe it? I haven't recovered from my dilemma. I still feel like a first year. A freshman adjusting to a different phase of my life. Now, I feel as if yesterday I just started my first year in Assumption, and now I'm second year already? It's like I have fallen in a deep sleep, where a beautiful dream where everything is beautiful and amusing turns into a nightmare for everything rushes. There are times when I struggle, and try to slow down time until it fully stops- but it can't happen, it always have been this way when we enjoy a significant part of our life. Even though, time can't pull back or stop for a while, we can still enjoy each moment without rushing. We should continue to live it up and cherish every moment - even the bad ones.
At June 7, 2010 the real first day of school in Assumption took place. OMG!! Where should I go now. I suddenly felt enlightened when I saw Bella Dominado. The two of us went straight to the St. Anne's Hall where we saw Ms. Bena and greeted us with her warm smile. :) I seated there quitely as I waited for my name to be called. "Please be with my friends!!" I then looked at the projection screen and searched for my name in a particular section. "Yay!! I'm with Bella, Lisa, Sam and Jacque. oh okay, so I'm in St. Elizabeth." I thought my first day would be really bad and because I'm still adjusting with my second year life, I felt bored and said "St. Michael was better." and I stand corrected, I actually had fun and enjoyed. So see, things are not always what they seem you might be surprised with what may happen at the end. (:

come and read my part two. see my blog:)
